Drew Tarver is on his way to CBS.
The Upright Citizens Brigade membershas landed the role of Todd on How I Met Your Dad, one of the main characters on the network's highly-anticipated How I Met Your Mother spinoff.
The sitcom will tell the story of Sally (Greta Gerwig), her friends in New York and how she ended up meeting the father of her kids.
According to Deadline, Tarver will portray Sally's best friend and brother in law, a character outlined as kind and outgoing and someone who doesn't mind when Sally moves in to the apartment he shares with her brother.
How I Met Your Mother is one of a number of shows planning a fall spinoff.
