While some actors can never get past one major TV role, others have been able to reinvent themselves in some pretty amazing ways.

One actor went from playing a surgeon to a ship captain, while another transformed from a vampire to an FBI agent. Another went from a light-hearted comedic role to a feared anti-hero.

We're talking iconic roles here, so even though several actors are leading some amazing new shows this season, we're leaving those out for now.

Take a look below to see what actors are known for more than one iconic TV role!

1. Eric Dane

Eric dane
Listen, we loved Eric Dane as Mark Sloan (aka McSteamy) on Grey's Anatomy, and we're stil not over his death. But now he's known for a role that we might just love a little more: Tom Chandler on TNT's The Last Ship.

2. Matt Czuchry

Matt czuchry
Before Matt Czuchry was known for his role as Cary Agos on The Good Wife, he played an important part of Rory's life as Logan Huntzburger on Gilmore Girls.

Claire danes
Remember when Claire Danes played Angela Chase on My So Called Life? Things have certainly changed. Now, we know her best as CIA Operative Carrie Mathison on Homeland.

4. Bryan Cranston

This is one heck of a transformation. Before Bryan Cranston was the iconic Walter White on Breaking Bad, he filled a significantly lighter role as Hal on Malcom in the Middle.

5. Courteney Cox

Courteney cox
Courteney Cox also played two pretty fantastic TV roles. First, she was Monica Geller on Friends, and then she was Jules Cobb on Cougar Town.

6. Johnny Galecki

Johnny galecki
We know Johnny Galecki best these days as the very nerdy Leonard Hoftstaedter on The Big Bang Theory. But when he was younger, he was unforgettable as David Healy on Roseanne.

Thanksgiving is almost here and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to reminisce about some of our favorite Thanksgiving dinners!

Some were bad, some were good; others were good because they were so bad. All of them cemented themselves in television history as staples for Thanksgiving viewing.

From the awkward to the over-the-top, here are some of our favorite memorable Thanksgiving meals!

1. You Just Got Slapped, How I Met Your Mother

You just got slapped how i met your mother
On, "Slapsgiving," the countdown was on for Barney to receive one of the five slaps he had earned after losing a bet about whether or not Robin was in a porn movie. (She was just a Canadian pop-star!) Throughout dinner, Barney panics about Marshall’s every movie, waiting for the slap. Meanwhile Robin, who has just broken up with Ted, has brought a date to Thanksgiving dinner and he’s just a little older, but Ted sees him as an old man throughout the evening. After Barney finally receives his slap, Marshall leads the gang in the lovely tune, “You Just Got Slapped.” Everybody saw it, and everybody laughed and clapped.

2. She Gives Good Parent, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Thanksgiving dinner crazy ex girlfriend
On "My First Thanksgiving with Josh!," Rebecca is invited to the big Filipino feast, and she’s determined to give “good parent” to Josh’s parents and make them love her more than they love his current girlfriend, Valencia. Filipino food doesn’t agree with Rebecca and she lands herself in the bathroom, where she has to decide between pooping or listening to Josh have sex with Valencia. Maybe she should have just flown to New York and watched the dog show with her mother.

3. A Braverman Family Thanksgiving, Parenthood

A braverman family thanksgiving parenthood
Wouldn’t we all want to spend Thanksgiving with the Braverman clan? On "Happy Thanksgiving," Adam is stressed out, Julia just wants to make a good pie, Sarah just had a big fight with her boss/boyfriend, and Crosby is desperately trying to impress his girlfriend’s mom. After an awkward prayer at the dinner table, dinner goes off without a hitch, and the Braverman kids find themselves dancing in the kitchen, once again, making us all wish our families were this functional.

4. Jack Tells His Mom He's Gay, Will & Grace

Jack tells his mom hes gay will and grace
It’s hard to believe, but Jack STILL hasn’t told his family that he’s gay! On "Homo for the Holidays," when Jack discovers that his mother is coming for Thanksgiving, he asks his friends to help him with his straight charade. Will, Grace, and Karen all think that he needs to come clean about his sexuality. It turns out that Jack’s mother has a secret of her own to share at dinner…Jack’s father isn’t who he thinks he is!

5. Hanksgiving, New Girl

Hanksgiving new girl
Jess really likes Paul, so she invites him to spend Thanksgiving with the gang on, "Thanksgiving." She gets the last turkey in America, names it Hank, and then realizes that she has no idea how to cook a turkey. She enlists Schmidt’s help in making Thanksgiving a little more sexy, but the gang ends up smoked out of their apartment. It’s no problem though, because Jess has a key to the neighbor’s apartment. They prepare the feast there and are ready to have a great meal together…until Paul finds their neighbor dead in the bathroom. This goes down as not only the most memorable dinner on New Girl, but also as one of the best installments the series has ever had.

6. Food Fight at Carla's, Cheers

Food fight at carlas cheers
When Diane discovers that many members of the Cheers family don’t have plans for Thanksgiving, she suggests that they all spend the holiday having dinner at Carla’s new home on, "Thanksgiving Orphans." The gang agrees, and plans to have the best Thanksgiving ever, complete with an appearance by Vera, Norm’s never-seen wife. Naturally, the dinner doesn’t quite go as planned, and a food fight ensues, and just as the audience is FINALLY about to get a good look at Vera, she takes a pie to the face.

15 Most Memorable Marriage Proposals in TV History

$

Love is in the air and Cupid's arrows have us remembering the special times when feelings were laid bare, lovers got down on one knee and rings were offered to seal the deal.

Yes, we're talking about proposals. Sometimes the question is popped over the perfect romantic dinner but the moments that stick with us can be the ones that don't go according to plan.

Some couples take the long road to find their happy ending. When fights are forgiven, misunderstandings are explained and doubts turn into lifetime commitments, those are the magical scenes that have fans holding their breath in anticipation or crying tears of joy.

Check out the 15 most memorable and romantic marriage proposals on TV.

1. Monica and Chandler - Friends

Chandler proposes friends
Just when Chandler thought he'd lost Monica forever, “The One With the Proposal, Part 2” had Monica surprising him by getting down on one knee and then starting to cry, "There's a reason why girls don't do this!” Chandler got down on his knees too and told his best friend, “You make me happier than I'd ever thought I would be. And if you let me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.” It's one of the best proposals on any TV show…ever!

2. Rick Castle and Kate Beckett - Castle

Will you marry me season 5
Just as Kate Beckett thought Rick Castle was going to break up with her, he got down on one knee, pulled out a gorgeous ring and with the most serious expression asked, “Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?” When Kate worried her new job would get in the way, Castle assured her that, “I'm not proposing to you to keep you here or because I'm afraid I'm gonna lose you. I'm proposing because I can't imagine my life without you.” Yes, fans never got the fairy tale wedding they deserved and Castle Season 8's separation (both real and fake) has been a train wreck, but the Caskett proposal had all the feels we now miss.

3. Barney and Robin - How I Met Your Mother

Barney proposes
Barney played everyone when he told his friends he was proposing to someone else. So Robin was completely blindsided when he pulled out all the stops with a rooftop locale covered in rose petals to ask her to marry him. He even named the last play in his playbook “The Robin” as he hoped she'd be the last play he'd ever run. Things didn't work out that way but that didn't mean the proposal wasn't legend-ary.

4. Matthew and Mary - Downton Abbey

Matthew and mary downton abbey
As Mary said herself, they were two people who “carry more luggage than the porters at King's Cross” but love prevailed. Since both were involved with other people, Mary wanted to be sure, “You must say it properly. I won't answer unless you kneel down and everything.” So Matthew did just that, in a beautiful holiday setting with the snow slowing wafting down around them. It was a picture perfect, romantic proposal that we won't soon forget.

5. Ben and Leslie - Parks and Recreation

Ben and leslie parks and recreation
Ben's proposal to Leslie was a perfect representation of their romance. Ben planned a surprise trip home to see Leslie on Halloween, dropped to one knee, and began. Leslie, always needing to micromanage everything, interrupted him insisting she needed a few minutes to remember every detail of the moment. When Leslie was satisfied, Ben happily continued a lovely speech about considering what he wanted for his future and declared that Leslie was it. Before he could even finish saying, "Will you marry me?" Leslie accepted.

6. Derek and Meredith - Grey's Anatormy

Derek and meredith greys anatormy
When Derek decided to ask Meredith to marry him…he didn't actually ask. He decorated an elevator at Seattle Grace Hospital with medical scans and reminders from all their important moments. “You say you're all dark and twisty, but it's not a flaw. It's a strength. It makes you who you are. I'm not going to get down on one knee. I'm not going to ask a question. I love you, Meredith Grey, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Unfortunately more darkness followed as Derek was later killed, but the memory of the elevator proposal will always make us smile.

17 Men in Suits Who Make Us Swoon

Is it the man who makes the suit or the suit that makes the man? Either way, these characters certainly know how to wear one.

In a world that’s turned towards more casual-wear, there’s still nothing quite like a well dressed man in a suit.

Whether it's their career that dictates the suit or simply their personal choice, it’s clear that not all suits (or the men in them) are created equal.

Check out these 17 fine looking gentlemen who grace our TV screens in impeccable suits that make us swoon.

1. Harvey Specter - Suits

Harvey specter suits
Harvey's first words of advice to protoge, Mike Ross, was to go out and buy some real, well-fitted suits. “People respond to how we're dressed, so like it or not this is what you have to do.” Harvey is rarely without his business suits. They are custom tailored three-piece suits, generally pinstripes with flapped pockets, double vents, and wider peak lapels that accentuate those amazing shoulders. Harvey Specter is always handsome but it's his choice in suits that exudes power and confidence.

2. Patrick Jane on The Mentalist

Patrick jane the mentalist
Patrick Jane was rarely seen without his three piece suit over the seven season of The Mentalist. It was his signature look with the vest, no tie and usually in shades of blue. Why? The color blue is believed to convey a warm and trustworthy feeling. Getting people to trust him certainly made it easier for Jane to play his mentalist mind games…it also really brought out his blue eyes!

3. Agent Phil Coulson - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agent phil coulson agents of shield
It doesn't matter if he's fighting the bad guys from his office or in the jungle, Agent Coulson always wears his suit. The leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. can seem a little uptight but that's because he's a career government man. Coulson likes tradition and consistency. Showrunner Jed Whedon says “No matter what the situation, Coulson feels most at ease when in his suit.” And it shows!

4. Ricky Ricardo - I Love Lucy

Patrick jane the mentalist
In the 1950s, I Love Lucy was the biggest hit on TV and although many watched to see what Lucy wore, it was difficult to miss her handsome husband. Ricky rocked those broad-shouldered suit jackets with a V shape that was close on the hip, had straight fronts, and frequently a TV fold pocket square. The look was popular with the Big Band leaders of the time and rumor has it that many of Ricky's outfits came straight out of actor Desi Arnaz's closet.

5. Derek Morgan – Criminal Minds

Derek morgan criminal minds
Derek Morgan can be sensitive. Derek Morgan can be one badass cop. But as hot as this crime fighter looks in a tight t-shirt and a bullet proof vest, he's even more stunning in a suit. Take a look and just try and tell us we're wrong.

6. Rick Castle - Castle

Rick castle castle
Rick Castle wears a lot of button down shirts and blazers but it's on the rare occasion that we actually see Castle wearing a suit…and that's a darn shame because he is so damn handsome when he's dressed well! The show needs more special events so we can see Castle looking his absolute best more often.

14 TV Flashbacks We'll Never Forget

TV often uses flashbacks to provide new insight into the characters we know and love.

Some shows use them all the time, but in this slideshow we're looking at the shows where they were more of a special occurrence.

In many of these we were treated to costumes and hairstyles on the current actors to make them look younger, but in some cases casting younger actors was necessary to pull it off.

Which flashbacks are the most memorable to you?

1. The Big Bang Theory

The big bang theory
Thanks to flashbacks, we got to see how Leonard and Sheldon came to be roommates, and more importantly, how the elevator was broken! Leonard's story helped clear up why anyone would put up with Sheldon for so long. though why Leonard didn't run for the hills during Sheldon's interview we still don't understand.

2. Grey's Anatomy

Greys anatomy
"The Time Warp" episode of Grey's gave us a chance to see a meek Bailey before she became "the Nazi," Ellis and Richard's illicit affair, and Callie as a resident. We also learned that Callie and Alex even hooked up once!

3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy the vampire slayer
Buffy did the flashback thing a few times, but arguably the most memorable was Spike's story in "Fool for Love." A nearly fatal mistake prompted Buffy to ask Spike about the two slayers he killed, but we received much more than that. We watched the vampire's transformation from nerdy human to the ruthless killer he became.

4. Friends

Friends
Every time Friends did a flashback it was memorable. From the prom video where we learned Ross and Rachel were each other's lobsters to literally any instance of "fat Monica." Throw in Rachel's pre-surgery nose, Ross's mustache, and Chandler's "Flock of Seagulls" haircut and you've got the makings of a memorable episode.

5. The Simpsons

The simpsons
Sure it's animated, but that doesn't take away the enjoyment of getting to see what Homer looked like before he was fat and bald. "The Way We Was" told the story of how one of our favorite TV couples first got together. Marge may have made the wrong choice for her prom date, but she picked the right guy to marry!

6. Criminal Minds

Criminal minds
For years fans wondered if orginal BAU member Jason Gideon would ever reappear. While the actor had no intentions of returning, the character finally did via flashbacks in which he was played by Ben Savage. Fans learned how he and Rossi started the unit as they investigated their old friend's tragic murder.

We're all guilty of it.

We compare our friends to the ones on television and try to find the similarities. Sometimes we do and it's spot on. We've all got a friend who's a Charlotte...or a Samantha.

Other times, it's not as easy to spot ourselves in friendships on TV and we end up envious of what we see on our screens.

Whether your group of friends is already on point, or they leave something to be desired, here are some of television's best groups of friends that will inspire your #SquadGoals.

1. The Pretty Little Liars

4. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine Precinct

The brooklyn nine nine precinct
Co-workers who are also best friends? It shouldn't work. But this squad gives us all the feels when they roll in to save the day. Between Jake and Amy's romance, Hitchcock and Scully's bromance, and Terry's occasion freak-outs, there are goals all over the place in the Nine-Nine.

5. The Friends

The friends
We all strive to be the Friends. Hanging out in a kick-ass NYC apartment, drinking coffee, telling jokes, and listening to each other's dating stories? Having friends like these would be perfection!

6. Gabbi, Sofia, and Yolanda on Young & Hungry

Young and hungry
When Yolanda moved in across the hall, she, Gabbi and Sofia created a solid lady squad. They help each other with dating, disastrous hi-jinks, and desserts. We can only hope to find a group of besties to make us feel all the feels and bake up a chocolate cake for us too.

Any guest of a wedding that had to stop and start three times before it was moved to a picturesque country club would have been out of their mind with frustration. 5. Dwight and Angela, The Office

Dwight and angela the office
Any wedding that takes place on graves is bound to be a lot of fun. Dwight and Angela sealed the deal and danced the night away at Schrute Farms with all their friends from Dunder Mifflin, old and new. We really just wish we could have snuck up behind Michael and heard him say, “That’s what she said,” at least once or twice.

6. Bones and Booth, Bones

Bones and booth bones
Is there anyone who didn’t wish they had a ticket to one of the most painfully awaited weddings, one that felt like it took nine years to plan? Oh wait… it did. You know the story. Someone gets involved with the party planning that shouldn't, and chaos ensues.

Usually that chaos involves a stripper. Sometimes it just involves a drunk dial.

Either way, bachelor and bachelorette parties rarely go as planned on our favorite television shows. Check out some of the most memorable (and terrible) parties below!

1. Friends

Friends
Pheobe had a very different idea about what her bachelorette party would be like than the friends who threw it for it, which resulted in a last minute stripper (played by Danny Devito) who no one wanted to see.

2. Grey's Anatomy

Greys anatomy
Derek realizes he's supposed to throw Burke a bachelor party, so he throws together a last minute gathering at Joe's. The most significant moments of the party happens when Derek goes to the bar to get a drink, and we meet Lexi Grey for the first time.

3. The Office

In an episode aptly titled "Ben Franklin," Jim is in charge of ordering a stripper for the women, but orders a Ben Franklin impersonator instead. The guy really knows his stuff, too.

4. Parks and Recreation

Parks and recreation
Leslie's bachelorette party does not go as planned, even though it starts out with everything you'd expect from a typical bachelorette party. Unfortunately, it ends with the ladies digging stuff out of a pit all night. The guys do better with the bachelor party, which ends up with each of them getting the bachelor party they never had.

5. The Big Bang Theory

The big bang theory
The guys don't quite make it to Leonard's bachelor party on The Big Bang Theory, since they end up with a flat tire on the side of the road that have no idea how to change. Still, they managed to make the evening fun, including Sheldon belting out "We Will Rock You."

6. Gilmore Girls

Gilmore girls
Before calling off her wedding to Max Medina, Lorelai's bachelorette party is held at a drag club, where they talk the bouncer into letting in an underage Rory. Lorelai has a few too many long island iced teas and drunk dials Christopher, then realizes Max isn't the one.

15 TV Reunions That Made Our Hearts Sing

Isn't it always so much fun when an old costar pops up on an actor's new TV show?

In honor of Bradley Whitford's guest appearance on Mom Season 4 Episode 9, we thought we would compile a list of some of our favorite TV reunions.

We're not talking about spinoffs or remakes, but just those awesome times when an old friend stopped by for a visit, creating a fun sense of nostalgia.

Check out our list and be sure to let us know your favorites!

1. A Parenthood Reunion on Gilmore Girls

A parenthood reunion on gilmore girls
After Parenthood ended, Lauren Graham couldn't help but bring her castmates with her to the revival of her first successful show, Gilmore Girls. Her TV daughters interacted when Lorelai and Rory ran into Mae Whitman's character on the streets of New York. In another episode, her old Parenthood flame, Jason Ritter, and TV brother/real life flame, Peter Krause, made appearances as no-nonsense park rangers Lorelai encountered as she tried to find herself by hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.

2. David Schwimmer Stops By Episodes

David schwimmer stops by episodes
This actually wasn't the first Friends reunion on Episodes as James Michael Tyler (Gunther) made an appearance too, but this one was definitely more memorable. The two Friends bumped into each other at a foreign dictator's party and hilariously discussed just how far the former stars were willing to go to make money. It turned out Matt sold himself short though as David was paid double!

3. Browncoats Reunite on Castle

Firefly on castle
Nathan Fillion had several of his old Firefly buddies drop by the set of Castle. Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres, Jewel Staite, and Summer Glau all reunited with their former browncoat wearing space captain. Baldwin actually guest-starred twice as detective Ethan Slaughter. No one could ever replace Beckett as Castle's partner, but if someone had to fill in for a couple of episodes, Baldwin was a great choice.

4. Seth Green Visits How I Met Your Mother

Seth green visits how i met your mother
Who wasn't excited about the prospect of Willow and Oz together again on How I Met Your Mother? Seth Green was hilarious as an old friend of Lily and Marshall's that falsely believed the three of them were still best friends. Daryl was pretty creepy, but we still loved every minute of this Buffy reunion.

5. Friends Again on Cougar Town

Friends again on cougar town
It was fun when Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston appeared on Cougar Town, but the best reunion was when Matthew Perry visited, reuniting one of TV's all time best couples. We even sort of got to see them as a couple again, as Jules was pretending to be interested in him to get out of paying for the damage she did to his car. The flash mob proposal was awesome, but the best part? Definitely Matthew Perry calling her "Monica" instead of Jules in one scene.

6. Roseanne Comes to The Big Bang Theory

Roseanne comes to the big bang theory
Sara Gilbert's stint on The Big Bang Theory reunited Darlene with David, especially considering Leslie and Leonard dated for awhile. Leslie was such a funny character, making her rounds of the group (moving on to Howard after Leonard) and terrorizing Sheldon every chance she got. She even returned for the series' 200th episode. Of course, Laurie Metcalf also recurs as Sheldon's mother, and the series staged another big reunion when they cast Katey Sagal to play Penny's mom.

Whether they're good at listening to your problems or simply helping you forget them with a strong drink, these TV bartenders certainly are memorable.

From a classic character who runs a place where everyone will know your name to one who's known to break into song, here's a list of 15 TV bartenders who will help you drink your troubles away.

Which bartender is your favorite, and who else would you add to the list? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

1. Greg Serranno (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend)

Greg serranno crazy ex girlfriend
Oh Greg, how we miss you. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Greg Serrano is one of the first friends Rebecca Bunch makes in her move to West Covina, California. He's not only a great bartender, but he can sing, too!

2. Sarah Braverman (Parenthood)

Sarah braverman parenthood
Sarah Braverman is one of those characters you wish you could be best friends with. She makes the decision to move with her kids back home when she has no where else to go, and works as a bartender to make ends meet. She's whimsical, hard-working, and great at her job, though eventually she finds a new passion and a new career.

3. Sam Malone (Cheers)

Sam malone cheers
Sam Malone from Cheers is the iconic cool-guy bartender. Owner and bartender at Cheers, he's a laid back guy who's great with his customers. There's no other bar like his, and he makes it the kinf of place you can go where everybody knows your name. (Cue the theme song!)

4. Joe (Grey's Anatomy)

Joe greys anatomy
Owner of The Emerald City Bar across from the hospital, Joe could take a little credit for Meredith and Derek's love story. In the very least, he was the person who watched them meet for the first time. And when he collapsed in the bar, he was lucky to be surrounded by doctors, and received an out of the ordinary operation that saved his life. It's a been a while since we've seen good old Joe, though there's no explanation to why that is.

5. Luke Cage (Jessica Jones / Luke Cage)

Luke cage jessica jones slash luke cage
Luke Cage is likely the coolest bartender on this list. We first see him appear on Jessica Jones when she stops by his bar, but we quickly learn his bartending abilities are nothing compared to his superhuman abilities.

6. Dee (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)

Dee its always sunny in philadelphia
True, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Dee isn't exactly what you'd call a skilled bartender -- or a friendly one -- but she certainly is memorable!

13 Storylines That Totally Sucked

$

You’re watching your favorite show and you love it. The concept excites you, the characters have you hooked, and each new episode is must see TV!

But then it happens…that plot you just can't stand.

Sometimes your favorite character becomes  someone you no longer recognize, or does something so stupid you’re tempted to change the channel.

Perhaps it’s a new character who simply doesn’t fit in, or a romance that either never takes off or takes a wrong turn.

How about a character’s death that’s either so devastating you can’t believe it happened or so infuriating you consider tuning out for good.

Come take this walk down memory lane of the 13 plots on TV that we absolutely hated!

1. Castle - Kate Beckett Was Married?!?

A face from her past
Kate Beckett was an intelligent woman and an extraordinary detective…and yet she somehow didn’t know she was legally married to some jerk she met in college?

Not only didn’t it make sense (Beckett had gone through multiple background checks for both NYPD and the Feds), but it destroyed the “one and done” concept that fans had loved about Beckett since Castle Season 1 Episode 2.

The fact that this horrible plot derailed an entire installment that fans believed was going to be filled with Rick and Kate’s wedding just added insult to injury.

Don’t even get us started on the ill-conceived non-wedding/disappearing Castle story that followed!

As for the entirety of Castle Season 8, we’re still pretending that was nothing more than a really bad dream that never actually happened.

2. Revenge - Daniel Dies!

Emily is alive revenge s4e11
We know that Emily and Daniel’s romance started off as Emily’s strategy to take down the Graysons, and things got worse from there, but no one can deny this couple had chemistry! It even spilled over into the actors' real lives.

We know the show was determined to pair Emily with Jack, but we always had a longing to see Daniel and Emily turn their lives around and end up together. The best part would have been how it could have driven Victoria Grayson crazy!

3. How I Met Your Mother - They Killed the Mother!

Cuddle time
The entire point of How I Met Your Mother was to finally see Ted meet the mother of his children! Of course fans also thought they’d get some romance, an actual wedding and perhaps some happily ever after…but they were greatly mistaken.

Fans waited season after to season to meet the much anticipated “Mother” only to have Ted apparently put off their perfect wedding for years, and then have her die!

To make matters worse, Ted then jumped into a “meant to be” relationship with Robin that the show spent all of nine seasons convincing fans was a horrible idea.

In the end, we still feel like we invested in a show and it cheated on us.

4. E.R. - Dr. Romano is Crushed by a Helicopter

Er dr romano is crushed by a helicopter
ER’s run of 15 seasons meant there was plenty to love and plenty of stories we wished had gone differently, but nothing beats the death of Dr. Robert Romano.

Dr. Romano was complex. He could be a complete, arrogant ass…but he also loved his dog, mentored Lucy Knight, and adored Elizabeth Corday even if the feeling was never returned.

When he lost his arm in a helicopter accident, and thus ended his career as a surgeon, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to explore other aspects of his character, but obviously the writers didn’t see it that way.

Instead of character growth, Romano was crushed by a falling chopper as though he was starring in a cartoon. Robert Romano and the fans who rooted for him deserved more than that.

5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Dawn Appears

Buffy the vampire slayer dawn appears
We know that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was all about the supernatural, but having Dawn Summers appear out of no where was more than most fans could take.

Dawn, we were told, was actually a mystical power of living energy, called The Key. Thanks to a magical ritual, she was transformed into a teenage girl, who suddenly became Buffy’s supposed younger sister so that the Slayer would protect her from the hell goddess Glorificus.

As if that weren’t confusing enough, Dawn never, ever left…and fans really wished she would. Who knew that fictional, supernatural pre-teens could be even more annoying than the real thing.

6. Roseanne - It Was All a Dream?!?

Roseanne it was all a dream
For nine seasons we rooted for Roseanne and Dan Connor. We rooted for Darlene and David. Heck, we even rooted for Becky, no matter who was playing her.

So when the show pulled the rug out from under us during the series finale by making most of the final season a dream, killing off Dan, and pairing Becky with David and Darlene with Mark, we were dumbfounded.

What the hell did they do? Why? We still don’t have answers.

But thankfully there’s going to be a Roseanne reboot for a limited Season 10…and rumor has it that the dream was all just a dream after all.

13 Reasons to Get Excited for the Super Bowl to End

TV show characters? They're just like us.

They fall in love, get their hearts broken, battle intergalactic creatures and obviously gather round with their loved ones for the Big Game.

But with the Super Bowl being such a significant national moment — a "holy" day if you will — TV shows don't seem to be capitalizing on it too much.

There's the usual fight for who will score the most coveted post-Super Bowl slot — one that comes with a large number of viewers. This year, the honor goes to This Is Us as they undoubtedly reveal the series' biggest mystery: the death of Jack Pearson.

But, as far as episodes simply celebrating the Super Bowl? Those a few and far between.

We've dug up some of our favorite Super Bowl-themed episodes that will allow you to kick back with your buddies and get pumped for Sunday.

You'll enjoy these, no matter what team you're rooting for.

Warning: one of them will even make you sob uncontrollably.

1. This Is Us - That'll Be the Day (2018)

This is us thatll be the day
I'll start with the most recent episode of This Is Us. Jack and Rebecca geared up for their final Super Bowl with the Big Three before they leave for college. But, instead of familial bonding, the day is filled with fights and teenage angst. Eventually, the teens all chose to watch the game elsewhere. The episode ends with a fire at the Pearson household, which we know inevitably leads to Jack's death. The continuation of this horrible, terrible, no good, very bad episode airs RIGHT after this Sunday's Super Bowl so please, have your Terrible Towels ready.

2. Everybody Loves Raymond - Super Bowl (2001)

Everybody loves raymond super bowl 2001
Ray discovers he's getting sent to cover the Super Bowl. He invites Gianni, which doesn't sit well with Debra. Or the other family members. She gives him hell and when he realizes everyone else brought their wives, he flies her out, which makes things even worse. Point of the story? If you get Super Bowl tickets, always bring your wife, your dad, or your brother!

3. Full House - Super Bowl Funday (1995)

Full house super bowl funday 1995
Taking it back to the good ole' Full House days! Joey returns home from a two-week comedy tour to watch the Super Bowl with the fam. Those plans are derailed when he realizes he promised to take Michelle's class on a museum tour. In an attempt not to miss the game, he and Jesse bring the kids to a bar, but when the TVs break down, they invite everyone back to the house, interrupting DJ's study session.

4. The Simpsons - Sunday, Cruddy Sunday (1999)

The simpsons sunday cruddy sunday 1999
The Simpsons have plenty of Super Bowl TV episodes to choose from, but I'll go with 'Sunday, Cruddy Sunday' in which Homer and some pals score tickets to the Super Bowl. The good times come to a halt when they are told their tickets are counterfeit. Bart devises a plan to sneak in but as you'd imagine, sneaking into such a prestigious event isn't as easy as it seems.

5. Seinfeld - The Label Maker (1995)

Seinfeld the label maker 1995
Jerry realizes that he has a wedding the same day as the Super Bowl so he gifts his tickets to Whatley, his dentist. Then the worst possible thing happens: the wedding is called off. Jerry tries to get his tickets back, but Whatley already invited Newman and then later, Elaine. Does he ever re-gift the tickets back to Jerry?

6. Boy Meets World - The Eskimo (1998)

Boy meets world the eskimo 1998
In an attempt to teach them a valuable lesson, Mr. Feeney assigns Corey, Topanga and Shawn an impossible homework assignment: score tickets to the Super Bowl. The trio eventually learn the lesson and pass the life-test but not before a handful of shenanigans ensue.

17 TV Weddings That Were Nearly Derailed

Have you ever noticed how TV weddings never seem to go as planned?

We often see our favorite couples spend weeks planning the perfect ceremony. They tour venues, try on dresses and tuxedos, sample twenty different varieties of cake, and yet when the big day comes, all of their planning goes right down the toilet.

Natural disasters, car crashes, wardrobe mishaps, and even the occasional cold feet can threaten to derail the couple's ideal wedding.

We've decided to compile a list of some of the more noteworthy wedding day disasters, but the good news is, despite the universe's best attempts, they all still made it down the aisle!

Check out some our favorite TV weddings that were nearly derailed, and be sure to let us know which ones you think were the craziest!

1. Alex and Jo - Grey's Anatomy

Alex and jo greys anatomy
Honestly, Grey's weddings could take up a good portion of this slideshow by themselves. Everything seemed to be going well for Alex and Jo, until half of the wedding guests went to the wrong location. Since the wedding was delayed anyway, Alex and Jo took the opportunity to sneak off for a little fun, but then wound up locked in a shed with a corpse.

Needless to say, the wedding did not go as planned, but thanks to Meredith getting ordained online last minute, the couple tied the knot on the ferry ride back home. At least the wedding April planned didn't go to waste -- she ended up marrying Matthew!

2. Jake and Amy - Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Jake and amy brooklyn 99
Jake and Amy went through a lot of turmoil to plan the perfect wedding, but it all went out the window when a bomb threat was called in, forcing everyone to evacuate the venue. If that wasn't bad enough, the head of the bomb squad was taking his sweet time clearing the area thanks to the fact that he was still harboring feelings for Amy. To add insult to injury, Terry lost the veil!

By the time the bomb was found, the original wedding (and Amy's dress) was caput. Luckily, Gina has no tact, and was planning to wear a white dress, saving Amy's wardrobe. The rest of the team came together to turn the precint into a beautiful wedding venue, and the couple said their vows at the place where they spent the last couple of years falling in love.

3. Mike and Phoebe - Friends

Mike and phoebe friends
If you plan a wedding in New York City in the winter, you run the risk of a snowstorm derailing everything. The blizzard was so bad, that the priest couldn't make it. Luckily, Joey was still ordained from Chandler and Monica's wedding, so he stepped in to officiate. Getting married on the street outside of Central Perk may not have been what they planned, but it was beautiful anyway. Thankfully it was a short ceremony, because Phoebe was freezing in just her dress!

4. Leonard and Penny - The Big Bang Theory

Leonard and penny the big bang theory
Leonard and Penny decided to elope in Las Vegas, which seemed spontaneous and romantic, until Leonard decided it was the perfect time to inform Penny that he had kissed another woman. His logic of wanting to go into their marriage with no secrets made sense, but this was something he should have disclosed to her much, much earlier. It very easily could have prompted Penny to put the kibosh on the whole thing, but they went through with a lovely ceremony with their own vows that their friends could stream online. The wedding didn't end the fighting, but they eventually got through it. They even held a second ceremony for their families to attend.

5. Ben and Leslie - Parks and Recreation

Ben and leslie parks and recreation
Ben and Leslie decided they simply couldn't wait any longer to be married. Everyone they loved was already in Pawnee, so why not go for it? Of course, spontaneous weddings tend to hit a few snags. Tom gets ordained to officiate, but it turns out his certificate won't arrive for 24 hours. Ron and Ben go to a pawn shop for rings, but don't find anything useful. Ann is tasked with making the dress, but it's not going well.

In the end, it turns out Jerry is ordained, so he can perform the ceremony. Ron fashions two rings out of a fixture from the wall, and Ann makes one of the best wedding dresses in TV history out of documents from Leslie's career. Just when it seemed everything was working out, Jamm tries to ruin the wedding with stink bombs, causing Ron to punch him and get arrested. Ann bails him out, and the couple is surprised with a beautiful wedding inside the Parks and Recreation department. Honestly, it could not have been more perfect.

6. Marshall and Lily - How I Met Your Mother

Marshall and lily how i met your mother
It was one disaster after another for Marshall and Lily. First of all, Marshall, do not experiment with highlights on the day of your wedding. There is a reason most women do hair trials before the big day. The tips were bad enough, but they were still better than the bald spot he accidentally shaved trying to get rid of them. That wasn't even the worst of it! The flowers weren't there on time, the harpist went into labor, and Lily's veil was ruined!

Most couples would have thrown in the towel at that point and rescheduled, but not these two. Their friends took them outside and helped them get the small, intimate wedding they've always wanted, complete with a guitar player. Thankfully, someone found Marshall a hat!

13 Endgame Couples We Love

$

Some people say it's all about the journey, but what's a journey without a destination in mind?

Different TV shows all feature their own unique relationships but usually tend to follow similar patterns and narrative structures. Some 'ships may be together right off the bat, while others take years of agonizing buildup before we finally get to see them set sail.

The couples that end up together during a show's series' finale earn the term "endgame," indicating that they're the final relationship for both characters involved. To put it in simpler terms, if you're lucky enough to love an endgame ship it usually means your favorite couple is going to be together forever.

Although there are still tons of shows currently airing with ships we're rooting for, here are 13 couples we love that ended up together in their show's series finale.

1. Jim and Pam - The Office

Jim and pam the office
Jim and Pam were just one of those couples that you couldn't help but love. Their friendship was one of the many highlights of The Office and their love story was so much deeper than what you would expect from a comedy show about a paper company. Seeing them go from co-workers with a crush to an eventual married couple with a family was one of the purest things we ever got to experience on our televisions.

2. Kurt and Blaine - Glee

Kurt and blaine glee
Kurt and Blaine's relationship will easily make anyone believe in love. Kurt spent the first season of Glee struggling and feeling alone, but Blaine helped give him the courage to be proud of who he is. Although the two have had their fair share of ups and downs, their love for each other could never be diminished and they end the series married with Rachel as their surrogate.

3. Stiles and Lydia - Teen Wolf

Stiles and lydia teen wolf
No one knows true patience unless they shipped Stydia. Ever since the pilot episode of Teen Wolf aired, the show had been building towards an eventual romance between the pairing. After years of friendship, the two finally confessed their love for each other on the show's final season and were still happily together after the time jump in the series finale. Even though the wait was agonizing, we wouldn't change a single thing about their story. Except more Stiles in 6B.

4. Damon and Elena - The Vampire Diaries

Damon and elena the vampire diaries
Damon was drawn to Elena from the very start of The Vampire Diaries. Since he started off the show as a villain, it took quite a few seasons for Elena to see him as someone she could be with. After Stefan leaves town, Damon and Elena grow closer during their search for him. Their relationship is made official in Season 4 and although Nina Dobrev left the show, Elena returned in the series finale to reunite with Damon once and for all.

5. Nick and Jess - New Girl

Nick and jess new girl
The relationship between Nick and Jess was always a big part of New Girl. Although their status changed throughout the series, it was obvious that they had a deep love for one another. Whether they were best friends or more, Nick and Jess always seemed to glow in each other's presence. Despite not going exactly as planned, Nick's proposal to Jess was absolutely adorable and their beautiful ending was well deserved.

6. Emily and Alison - Pretty Little Liars

Emily and alison pretty little liars
Ever since the beginning of the show, Emily was in love with Alison. Aware of Emily's love for her, Alison always made Emily believe her feelings were one-sided. After Alison's resurrection from the dead, she confessed to Emily that their kisses weren't just for practice. Although it took a lot of time and redemption on Alison's part, her proposal to Emily at the end of the series is proof that love truly does conquer all.

There are some characters on television that just remain pure and wholesome no matter what the world throws at them. Despite the drama going on around them, they manage to stay true to themselves and their morals.

These characters always put others before themselves and try their best to do the right thing even when it's not easy. Honestly, they're just the type of people you want to wrap in a blanket and protect from harm.

Here are 27 wholesome characters with those good-natured characteristics who we think deserve the world.

1. Barry Allen - The Flash

Barry allen the flash
Barry Allen may be the fastest man alive, but he's also the cutest. His quirky and kind traits make him one hell of a superhero as he actually cares about every single person that he's saving. Barry doesn't just see heroes and villains -- he sees people and always looks for the best in them.

2. Jake Peralta - Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Jake peralta brooklyn nine nine
Some may say he's a little over the top at times, but that's just one of the things that make Jake great. He is absolutely adorable and Jake wouldn't be who he is without his pure heart and desire to the right thing.

3. Kira Yukimura - Teen Wolf

Kira yukimura teen wolf
Kira is the most polite badass I have ever seen. She can kill you with kindness and then actually kill you if you threaten her friends. She was the sweetest and one of the most endearing characters on Teen Wolf, and she deserved a lot better than being left in the desert with the Skinwalkers only to never be seen or heard from again.

4. Prince Charming - Once Upon a Time

Prince charming once upon a time
Prince Charming, otherwise known as David Nolan in Storybrooke, is probably one of the few portrayals of princes that's actually deserving of the name. Charming always wanted what was best for his family and would sacrifice himself at a moment's notice if it meant keeping others safe.

5. Clay Jensen - 13 Reasons Why

Clay jensen 13 reasons why
Clay deserves so much better than the hand he's been dealt. The death of Hannah who he loved, will haunt him forever and it seems he's always going to feel like he's partially to blame. He would do anything to get justice for her and even puts his life on the line to stop others from making life-changing mistakes. He's just an all-around kind soul who's full of love and compassion.

6. Janet - The Good Place

Janet the good place
Janet may be a computer who's programmed to be good, but that doesn't change the fact that she is indeed wholesome and pure. It's hard not to want happiness for someone so incredibly warm-hearted.
