19 of the Most Unique Marriage Proposals on Television

$

0

Proposals don't have to be classic to be epic. The question isn't always asked over a perfectly organized dinner or during a moonlit stroll on the beach.

They can happen in all kinds of ways, and while some proposals may be really outside the box and others may not go as planned, they can be just as (if not more) beautiful.

We've composed a slideshow below of 19 of the most unique marriage proposals on TV!

1. Meredith and Derek - Grey's Anatomy

Meredith and derek greys anatomy
Being a total romantic, Derek decorated the hospital elevator with different reminders of his journey with Meredith at Seattle Grace. Instead of properly asking the question, Derek just told Meredith that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

2. Jules and Grayson - Cougar Town

Jules and grayson cougar town
To start off their life full of surprises, Grayson gets Jules to teepee a house and ends up proposing when he comes to arrest her. While it may sound like an odd prank and proposal, he managed to give Jules everything she wanted.

3. Barry and Iris - The Flash

Barry and iris the flash
During his second attempt at a proposal, Barry sang "Running Home To You" to Iris. It was extremely sweet and romantic, and let's be honest. If Iris hadn't said yes, we would have transported to the DC universe and accepted his proposal ourselves.

4. Barney and Robin - How I Met Your Mother

Barney and robin how i met your mother
Out of all the proposals on this list, Barney's proposal to Robin was by far the most thought out and unique. In an elaborate plan that took course over a series of episodes, Barney pretended that he was dating and proposing to her co-worker Patrice. Robin went to stop the proposal only to find out it was her Barney was proposing too.

5. Nomi and Amanita - Sense8

Nomi and amanita sense8
When Amanita pulled out a ring and asked Nomi to marry her she was overwhelmed for more than one reason. After taking a minute to compose herself, Nomi pulled out a ring as well! They both ended up getting a proposal and it couldn't have been any more perfect.

6. Cory and Topanga - Boy Meets World

Cory and topanga boy meets world
Topanga ends up proposing to a pretty shocked Cory during their graduation. Later, Cory wants to do the proposing as well, but his mom butts in and half-way does it for him before he takes the ring and proposes himself.

Ever get that craving for an undead fruit pie or wish for a classic diner where you can eavesdrop on F.B.I. agents with your side of fries?

Maybe you're tired of having to order your meal and just want a waitress who can (literally) read your mind? From retro to recent, we've got your gastro-television recommendations here! Can't find the listing?

We've got you covered with our short, sweet, AND salty reviews of TV's most iconic establishments.

We'll rev up your inner restauranteur! If we COULD calm our hangry beast at one of our favorite TV-verse diner or dive, you KNOW we'd be reviewing the HECK out of it.

1. Royal Diner (Bones) - Awesome Fries But Don't Make a Federal Case Out Of It

Season finale pairing
Royal Diner (Bones) - CLASSIC AMERICAN - Serviceable lunch counter with limited seating. The menu has decent variety although you could probably order the same thing every day for, say, twelve years and be okay with it.

2. Bob's Burgers (Bob's Burgers) - Five-Star Burgers, Meh Service

Bobs burgers poster
Bob's Burgers (Bob's Burgers) - BURGERS - Family-run, typical greasy spoon. Never a wait for a table. Wait staff are short and sarcastic. Be sure to check out the daily special -- the punny name might be awful but the food isn't!

3. Central Perk (Friends) - The One With the Couches

The one with the couches
Central Perk (Friends) - COFFEE SHOP - Amazing little coffee shop in the heart of Manhattan. No idea how they can afford the overhead for the location but it does some brisk business despite a few regulars who take up a lot of room. Service is good although staff turnover is high. Have an issue? Ask for Gunther.

4. Regal Beagle (Three's Company) - So Very Retro

So very retro
Regal Beagle (Three's Company) - PUB GRUB - Come for the 1970s atmosphere, leave because you've probably had food (or a drink) spilled on you. The clientele is eclectic and the decor is a little confusing. I think I saw someone actually using a phone booth.

5. Restaurant (Sweetbitter) - High Class, No Name

Tess serves potato chips sweetbitter s1e3
Restaurant (Sweetbitter) - $$$$$ - You get what you pay for. Excellent service, exemplary food. There's a strong resemblance to the Union Square Cafe. Warning: cell phones don't work in the building. Super weird, it's like it's 2006 time warp or something.

6. Frank's Restaurant (C.S.I.) - Always Open But Smells Like Death

Always open but smells like death
Frank's Restaurant (C.S.I.) - AMERICAN - Ostensibly open 24 hrs but often inaccessible due to police crime-scene tape. Regularly frequented by shift workers in law enforcement (both on and off-shift). Lots of parking (unless blocked off by more crime-scene tape) and ample seating.

15 Male Characters That Define The Nice Guy Syndrome

$

0

There are male characters on TV that are nice, and then there are guys that consider themselves nice and feel like because of that they are entitled to something, usually women.

You know the type, he believes in the friend zone because he thinks multiple women in his life put her there even though he is a "nice guy." That quickly turns into the guy believing that women owe him something because he isn't like all those other guys, which means he deserves any women he wants.

Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video.

At the end of the day, Nice Guy Syndrome can be associated with some of the worst guys and characters, mostly because they hide behind a facade and use that to manipulate others by trying to make them feel bad for him.

TV characters that embody that are usually main characters with relationships that leave more to be desired. Here is a slideshow of a few examples of just that.

1. Michael Scott - The Office

Michael scott the office
Michael was a character that was lonely above all else, but the way he treated women left a lot to be desired. More than that though, he consistently saw himself as someone who deserved the kindness that he didn't always give off himself, especially to women.

2. Ted Mosby - How I Met Your Mother

Ted mosby how i met your mother
Ted Mosby could be the poster boy for Nice Guy Syndrome, his entire journey on How I Met Your Mother was him wallowing about the fact that he deserves to be with someone who doesn't want to be with him. His treatment of Robin and her feelings is nonexistent, no matter how much she moves on or points out that what they want for one another doesn't align. This is all hidden behind a story about how he meets the mother of his children, except that, is all she seems to be. He has no respect for this person he chose to spend his life with, only relating it back to how now he wants to once again be with someone that he never got over. The true issue though is the way that the show not only rewards but promotes this mentality, all the way to the end.

3. Finn Collins - The 100

Finn collins the 100
Knowing you still have a girlfriend and expecting the girl you decided to cheat with to just understand? Finn definitely relied on his "nice guy" appeal to excuse examples of him being a really inconsiderate person. He heavily enjoyed comparing himself to Bellamy because of that, considering himself somehow superior when he was far from that.

4. Winn Schott - Supergirl

Winn schott supergirl
There was just something about the way Winn felt like he and Kara belonged together that exuded all the wrong energy. If there was anyone who could have believed in the friend zone, Winn in the first season of Supergirl did.

5. Walter White - Breaking Bad

Walter white breaking bad
Walter White is interesting because it is very possible that the entirety of the show comes from the fact that he suffers from Nice Guy Syndrome.

6. Ross Geller - Friends

Ross geller friends
The best example has to be from the show that invented the term friend zone, a concept that doesn't even exist. Ross was fixated on the notion that he belongs with Rachel, but when they actually got together he was far from a good person. He used the idea of him being a nice guy to excuse his obsessive jealousy and inability to root for his girlfriend prospering in a way that didn't include him. This was really only the beginning, with Ross never outgrowing this pattern for seasons to follow.

25 TV Couples That Never Should Have Happened

$

0

Couples don't always work out, especially on television shows, and yet there are some cases to be made for relationships that should have never been explored.

Some of the reasons become time-wasting in the form of a predictable obstacle, or when they just aren't right for each other yet the audience is meant to follow along on their short-lived journey.

Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video.

There is also the question of how much a couple works when there are so many expectations from the fandom side of things.

There are sometimes mistakes on TV when two people get together when it would have made more sense if that wasn't the focus. Here is a slideshow of just a few that jump out as blunders, either current or past.

1. Mon-El and Kara - Supergirl

Mon el and kara supergirl
There is no way to avoid the obvious issue of Mon-El appearing on Supergirl and the way the narrative shifted focus. The issue with Mon-El and Kara was the way that Kara got lost in her own story, so them breaking up might be what the show needs for their lead.

2. Bellamy and Echo - The 100

Bellamy and echo the 100
How much time do you have for this one? Bellamy Blake's romantic life has been on the back burner pretty much always, so it is adding insult to injury to say this is the relationship that the male lead is worthy of being introduced in. Besides the obvious way that offscreen development means offscreen investment for the fans, it is a silly way to attempt to integrate Echo into the narrative as a newfound hero and not the enemy that we have known for so long.

But Echo was the villain, specifically to Bellamy for three seasons straight when she killed, almost killed, or attempted to harm everyone he cared about. It is unfair to expect Bellamy's offscreen forgiveness and popularity to do the work for Echo's redemption when it could have been done by just writing more content for Echo, because at the end of the day Season 5 didn't give her much anyway. And it wouldn't have disrespected Bellamy's character and the audience that blindly had to hear the time jump excuse as a way to sell something that frankly is doomed regardless.

3. Nancy and Jonathan - Stranger Things

Nancy and jonathan stranger things
Shelving away the fact that Jonathan took photos of Nancy that she didn't consent to, these two won't be able to last long. Maybe it is the way that the story brought them together, connecting over the search for the truth, but soon reality might fracture this idealized view of their relationship.

4. Alex and Sutton - The Bold Type

Alex and sutton the bold type
This is a strange one because Sutton and Alex themselves could have worked if only the show actually went all in with them. Their relationship and by extension Alex was treated as a way to stir something within Richard and his relationship with Sutton. Alex and his genuine feelings for Sutton were played with for a while and then shoved aside when he wasn't needed anymore and that was such a huge shame.

5. Jim and Karen - The Office

Jim and karen the office
It was a disservice to Karen to bring her in almost as an obstacle to Jim/Pam. It was obvious where the story was going and Karen was used to prolong that for a season, which isn't fair to her as an individual. Jim knew he still loved Pam and the way he treated Karen for not being okay with this revelation wasn't what she deserved in this situation.

6. Stefan and Caroline - The Vampire Diaries

Stefan and caroline the vampire diaries
When you have a show dedicated to the idea that both brothers love the lead, it can be difficult to shift gears when you decide on an endgame. Stefan loved Elena, he in a way would always continue to no matter what she chose for her future. Caroline ended up a very clear second choice, which was proved when Stefan chose to sacrifice himself after just seemingly planning a future with Caroline.

47 Sinfully Sexy Jewish Men on TV

This list is guaranteed to provide extra dirty thoughts for which to be forgiven next year!

In case you're wondering, we used a precise methodology to count down these super-jews.

A pretty face and a banging body are equally delicious, but scoring a spot on this epic lineup requires true talent. Bonus points for a spectacular sense of humor and strong influence on popular culture. Amen!

47. Max Greenfield

Max greenfield
As the breakout star of “New Girl," Max played Schmidt, one of three guys who share a Los Angeles loft with Jess (Zooey Deschanel). Greenfield falls hard for Jessica's BFF, the way-out-of his league fashion model, CeCe and their on again off again romance kept our attention for all seven seasons. Spoiler alert: by the end of the series, Greenfield not only gets the girl -- he puts a ring on it -- and later puts a baby in her too.

46. Noah Wyle

Noah wyle
We haven’t stopped crushing on Wyle since he played Dr. John Carter on the TV medical TV drama, "ER.” As far as this list goes, the doctor is IN!

45. Paul Rudd

Paul rudd
Our hearts beat a bit faster when Paul Rudd made an honest woman out of Phoebe Buffay as Mike Hannigan on "Friends." Rudd recently starred in "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later,” on Netflix and made it official: No matter how many years go by, Paul still gets us hot (and wet)!

44. Bryan Greenberg

Bryan greenberg
Bryan’s swagger on HBO’s “How to Make It in America,” as Ben Epstein, an enterprising twenty-something hustling his way through New NYC's fashion scene, made us Greenberg's fans forever.

43. Mark Feuerstein

Mark feuerstein
Mark got his big break on the daytime soap, “Loving," played a lawyer on "The West Wing," and an eligible Jewish doctor who was perfect husband material. Though we favored Feuerstein on “Sex and the City,” as a vulnerable romantic who means well, but just can’t find Miranda's cherry.

42. Justin Kirk

Justin kirk
Justin appears on the Jim Carey series," Kidding," but is best known for his role on HBO’s “Weeds.” As Andy Botwin, Kirk played part-stoner, part -family man who's 100% into his sister-in-law, Nancy (Mary Louise Parker), while helping her sell marijuana. At the end of the series, Andy rejects MLP’s plea to be a permanent fixture in her life -- allowing Kirk to go out on a real high.

As the song says, when you're accidentally in love there's no escaping it. Some people are polar opposites, others are too alike, and some just outright hate each other.

But whatever the reason may be for their differences, there are many characters on television who fall for the person that they would least expect. These relationships keep the audience on the edge of their seat and make for some of the most entertaining (and ironic) romances on television.

And let's be real, who doesn't love some good relationship development?

Below is a slideshow featuring 31 couples who accidentally fell in love with each other.

1. Lucifer and Chloe - Lucifer

Lucifer and chloe lucifer
It's safe to say that Lucifer and Chloe didn't fall in love on purpose. But after going through what these two have, it's insane that they didn't get together sooner.

2. Clarke and Lexa - The 100

Clarke and lexa the 100
Considering they started off as leaders on opposite sides of a war, it was definitely an accident that Clarke and Lexa fell for each other. But you can't help who you love. With much to learn from one another, their relationship ended up changing both Clarke and Lexa for the better.

3. April and Jackson - Grey's Anatomy

April and jackson greys anatomy
Jackson and April were friends for seasons before anything actually happened between them. Jackson was always protective of April but it wasn't until later in the show that they realized they were a lot more than friends.

4. Jackie and Steven - That '70s Show

Jackie and steven that 70s show
Jackie and Steven are a couple that deserved better. Their relationship was an unexpected surprise and despite their bickering, they were just right for each other.

5. Logan and Veronica - Veronica Mars

Logan and veronica veronica mars
Logan and Veronica are another example of a couple who went from hate to love. Although they didn't like each other at first, they ended up falling head over heels for one another.

6. Barney and Robin - How I Met Your Mother

Barney and robin how i met your mother
Robin was in love with Barney's best friend and Barney was the type of guy who hated relationships. In fact, he hated them so much he even made a video for his friends begging them to get him out of any future relationship he may be in. But for some reason when Barney and Robin fell for each other, it made perfect sense.

21 Brilliant TV Minds Who Could be the Next Supreme Court Justice

$

Who can be a Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States? According to the Constitution -- it can pretty much be anyone as there are no age or citizenship requirements to pass.

Of course, in reality, the nominees the Senate tends to confirm are individuals with a legal background and graduated from the top schools. Connections and politics obviously play huge roles in the selection process.

Related: Get PBS Masterpiece via Prime Video Channels for World-Class British Dramas & Award-Winning Series

Still, it is fun to ruminate on what qualities we want in a Justice. After all, we don't want really want them to be judges, we want them to be heroes, individuals who use their brilliant capabilities to defend the rights of the people.

Each of the following characters is amazing in their respective fields. Some have legal backgrounds. Others have common sense. All of them would bring something unique and vital to the Court for the benefit of all.

1. Marshall - How I Met Your Mother

Marshall how i met your mother
Most lawyers get disillusioned with the law and quit -- not Marshall. Seeing a pharmaceutical company get a slap on the wrist only made him more determined to use his legal prowess for good and started him on the path to becoming a judge. His intelligence, optimism and good humor make him a perfect match for the judiciary branch. Forget Judge Fudge or Fudge Supreme, Chief Justice Fudge of the Supreme Court would be just desserts -- Marshall approves this pun -- for everyone.

2. Charley Bordelon - Queen Sugar

Charley bordelon
Charley Bordelon thought she had the perfect life until it imploded. Now she fights for her home and for her community. Her investigative and negotiation skills stopped the construction of a for-profit prison and saved countless farms. Imagine what she could accomplish on the national level.

3. Michael Flaherty - Spin City

Michael flaherty spin city
Sadly, a Supreme Court Justice is just as much of a politician as any member of Congress. Fortunately, there's Michael Flaherty, who definitely knows the score when it comes politics. Even better, he's the rare individual who loves the game, is great at the game, and actually plays the game in order to help people.

4. Cmdr. Kelly Grayson - The Orville

Cmdr kelly grayson the orville
Supreme Court Justices are constantly balancing competing interests. Cmdr. Kelly Grayson is no stranger to the balancing act. She knows when to be tough and when to be compassionate. She honors the rights of the individual but also knows when to the put others before herself.

5. Jerry Seinfeld - Seinfeld

Jerry seinfeld seinfeld
Most court cases aren't about defending your liberties or grandstanding for your principles. Instead, most court cases, even or perhaps especially at the Supreme Court level, are about the minor quibbles: was the filing deadline met, were the right boxes on the form checked, is this case even in the correct courtroom. It all comes down to minutiae, and there is no one better at analyzing and questioning of the minutiae of all things than Jerry Seinfeld.

6. Ellie Torres - Cougar Town

Ellie torres cougar town
The U.S. legal system is built upon precedent, but just because something is precedent doesn't make it immune to being nonsensical, outdated or wrong. Supreme Court Justices need the conviction to overrule past decisions. For this, there is no one more qualified than Ellie "Change Approved" Torres. Thanks to her rational decisionmaking the term "cakewalk" now rightly means something really difficult to do and "sleeping like a baby" means you get no sleep at all.

17 Disappointing Season Finales That Still Drive Us Crazy

Every story is inevitably judged by its ending.

And in the TV world, until the ultimate series finale, it is the ending of each season that keeps the audience on its toes. It is also the episode that can make or break the show. There are some programs which have been able to bounce back, but still, many more whose shame is still spoken about even now.

Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video. WATCH ANYWHERE. CANCEL ANYTIME!

Human beings generally tend to maintain memories of negative events over positive ones. Perhaps that is why we always talk about the worst episodes of television, even if it is a show that you tend to enjoy.

Here are the most disappointing season finales that we still can't get out of our heads!

1. Castle Rock Season 1

Castle rock season 1
There has only been one season so far, but this show is going to have to step it up next season if it wants to keep our loyalty. The show started off with a slow burn that revved into a raging inferno as more layers were revealed to the story of a cursed little town. To have everything we thought we had learned thrown back in our faces at the last minute was quite distressing.

2. The Originals Series Finale

The originals series finale
A series finale is even more essential to a program's ongoing reputation than a season finale because you don't get a do-over afterward. For a five-season-long TV show that is also a spinoff of a show that ran for eight seasons, the pressure is even more severe. So, for the showrunners to just decided to kill every fan favorite in the very last episode feels like the worst kind of betrayal.

3. Gossip Girl Series Finale

Gossip girl series finale
If a television show is going to center itself around a mystery that spans the entire series, it had better have a viable solution to that mystery by the end. Aside from the preposterousness of Dan Humphrey having access to all of the information he would need to be Gossip Girl, couldn't the identity of the internet Loki have been someone, I don't know, interesting?

4. Supernatural Season 7

Supernatural season 7
Sometimes a bad finale is inevitable if the entire season up that point is infallibly awful. With a villain as un-terrifying as the Leviathans, there was no way that the stakes were going to be high enough even for a show as action-packed as Supernatural to deliver successfully.

5. How I Met Your Mother

How i met your mother
The series finale of this show made everything that led up to it feel pointless. The entire series was an explanation of how the main character met his late wife. Then this wife was just discarded in order for Ted to end up with Robyn, someone with whom he never had any chemistry to begin with.

6. Hemlock Grove Season 1

Hemlock grove season 1
A truly unique and beautiful season of television almost ended on an emotionally transcendent note, but then seemed to backtrack at the last second. Maybe the showrunners were concerned there wouldn't be enough reason to tune in next season if they didn't rev up the action in the last few minutes. Whatever the reason, not giving the viewers enough time to process Letha's death was a mistake.

20 Exes Who Are Way Too Friendly

$

Break-ups are equally as messy in real life as they are on TV shows.

It's rare to see exes who remain friends after choosing to put an end to the romantic nature of their relationship.

However, there are a handful of former couples that have gotten away with it.

We'd like to think that one day, we too can be just as friendly with some of our exes as Liza and Josh on Younger or Elena and Stefan on The Vampire Diaries.

Peep our list of couples that prove you don't have to hate your ex, then, make sure to comment with any additions!

1. Josh and Liza - Younger

Josh and liza younger
Josh and Liza may be the friendliest exes to ever walk the planet. Whenever he needs her, she's there to be to offer a shoulder to cry on, impart some "been there, done that" wisdom, or set him up with the cute Irish lad at the bar. They've grasped that they are moving on from something really intimate and accept the hurt simply to be in each other's lives. Granted, Josh is still into Liza and thus, holding out hope for a reconciliation, but none of that is an issue for her. And she's super understanding about his living arrangements with her besties Kelsey and Lauren and his bond with her soul-sister, Maggie.

2. Peyton and Nathan - One Tree Hill

Peyton and nathan one tree hill
Peyton and Nathan dated briefly and though there were good times, the majority of their relationship could be described as toxic. They were always better off as friends which is why they held no resentment for each other. In fact, Peyton became best friends with Nathan's wife Hailey and married his step-brother, Lucas!

3. Serena and Dan - Gossip Girl

Serena and dan gossip girl
Serena and Dan may have gotten their happily ever after but it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows between them. This is the Upper-East side, after all, so everything was an obstacle from the realization that they were from two different worlds to the romantic history linking their parents. But somehow, they always found a way to be supportive of each other.

4. Caroline and Matt - The Vampire Diaries

Caroline and matt the vampire diaries
Caroline and Matt may not have worked out because dating a vampire when you are solely anti-vampires is a recipe for disaster, but in a small town like Mystic Falls, everyone keeps on keeping on. The two were able to form a close friendship eventually and remained friends long after the series ended. Going into the spin-off Legacies, they are one of the few "original" characters still living and hopefully, re-living old times.

5. Alex and Ryan - Quantico

Alex and ryan quantico
When your ex is also your partner in the FBI, you're naturally forced to remain cordial. Alex and Ryan always cared for each other even after he married her best friend, Shelby. Honestly, Alex's tolerance meant that Ryan was never supposed to be her soulmate.

6. Dan and Chloe - Lucifer

Dan and chloe lucifer
The saying "opposites attract" exists because it's entirely possible for two people not to work out because they are too similar. Dan and Chloe were both too attached to their jobs, often putting all the TLC into their cases and not their relationship. They've come to understand that there is still room to be friends and even give each other relationship advice on occasion.

2. Chandra Wilson - Grey's Anatomy

Chandra wilson greys anatomy
Chandra Wilson plays the five-foot-nothing no-nonsense heart of gold surgeon Dr. Miranda Bailey on Grey's Anatomy. While playing the role, she's also directed a whopping 19 episodes for the series. Mariska hargitay law and order svu

4. Hugh Laurie - House

Hugh laurie house
We know Hugh Laurie as House on the medical drama of the same name. Did you know he also directed a couple of episodes? We have to wonder if acting with an American accent while directing without tripped up the actor on set. It's funny to imagine House with a British accent.

5. Jennifer Garner - Alias

Jennifer garner alias
Jennifer Garner played Sydney Bristow, a kickass international spy for the five season series. A year before the end of the series, Garner tried her hand at directing. She directed one episode for the series and hadn't tried it again since, but that doesn't mean she won't.

6. Courteney Cox - Cougar Town

Courteney cox cougar town
Courteney Cox is probably most widely recognized as the anal retentive Monica Gellar on Friends. She has a boatload of other acting credits to her name and some directing ones too. When Cox was playing her role on Cougar Town, she also directed twelve episodes for the series.

17 TV Characters Who Would Have Made A Killing During Prohibition

Prohibition is one of the coolest periods of history. The music was jumping. The fashion was hot. And every drink someone downed was another instance of sticking it to the G-Man.

For all of those reasons and more, TV loves depicting Prohibition in one form or another.  Some shows are lucky enough to be set that era or can use time travel to transport its characters back to the 20s.

Related: Explore Hundreds of Hours of Curated Historical Videos with History Vault via Prime Video Channels!

Other shows have to get more creative about how they can justify alcohol bans and characters talking like wiseguys while wearing feathers, fringe, or pinstripes.  When it's pulled off, it makes for a great episode of television.

To make it during Prohibition though takes more than good looks and speaking the password. Who can run a smuggling enterprise, brew and distill intoxicating substances, operate a speakeasy, and possess the grit to take out the competition before they take you down first? Read on to find out.

1. Meredith Grey - Grey's Anatomy

Meredith grey greys anatomy
Meredith loves tequila, dance parties and has no qualms about helping friends who run into trouble with the law. She would fight as hard to keep a speakeasy alive as she would for any patient.

2. Lucifer & Maze - Lucifer

Maze lucifer
What happens when The Devil and his trusted bodyguard leave Hell? They open the hottest bar in Los Angeles, and kind of got bored with it pretty quickly. Good thing they waited for the 21st century because running a bar during Prohibition would have been far too easy for them.

3. Homer & Bart Simpson - The Simpsons

Homer and bart simpson
Homer has the determination. Bart has the deviousness. Together they keep Springfield liquored up while Rex Banner is left wondering how the Beer Baron got the better of him.

4. Teresa Mendoza - Queen of the South

Teresa mendoza queen of the south
Running a smuggling operation takes brains, cunning, daring and you have to be ready to deal with betrayal at the drop of a hat. Teresa Mendoza has all of these traits, which is how she was able to go from being a money changer who barely earned enough to scrape by to the head of a drug empire. All hail the Queenpin!

5. Hawkeye Pierce - M*A*S*H

Keeping a distillery in your tent is definitely against army regulations, but Hawkeye Pierce is never afraid to thumb his nose at authority. Break his still, take it away, it won't do any good because Hawkeye will always find a way to make sure he has a never-ending supply of martinis.

21 Most Unlikeable Leads in TV History

More often than not, the lead characters on our favorite shows are made to be likable, or at least tolerable. There are outliers to that norm, but even those are few and far between.

Then, of course, there are those characters who make you want to throw a brick at your screen even if that wasn't the intention with which the character was created.

Related: Get HBO via Prime Video Channels for Addictive Dramas, Hilarious Comedies & Hit Movies!

It might be for a variety of reasons but most of the time it's because the writers unwittingly went overboard with the schtick they built the character around, and so, Instead of the charming character we were supposed to get, we end up with an insufferable caricature that sometimes never grows past his character flaws.

We have picked 21 of the top leads who annoyed us most of the time they were onscreen. Read on to find out who they are!

1. Kiera Cameron (Continuum)

Kieras unlikely alliance
Maybe being a selfish jerk is a prerequisite to becoming a cop in 2077, we'll never know, and prioritizing self-interest isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, watching Kiera do it times without number at the expense of those who have routinely placed her well-being above theirs was infuriating.

2. Ross Geller (Friends)

Ross geller picture
Ross was a giant man-child who would whine about everything the second he doesn't get what he wants. Plus, he continually tried to sabotage Rachel's relationships with other guys. Not that she was any better, but at least she showed a tiny bit of improvement over the years.

3. Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory)

Sheldon con
You most likely know that Sheldon has a genius-level intellect, and it is probably because of the number of times he has brought it up in conversation, which is pretty much every other episode. He is also condescending and totally devoid of empathy.

4. President Trump (Our Cartoon President)

President trump our cartoon president
Listening to that annoying voice is enough to send most people over the edge, but if that doesn't do it for you, then you'll be happy to know that the antics he gets up to will make you want to throw yourself onto a busy highway.

5. Star (Star)

The tour is over star
They make a point of letting us know that the characters on this show are humans like us -- warts and all. Except for Star, who is mostly about warts and little of everything else. Getting her sister out of Otis' house was the only good thing she has done that counted, and she has continued to coast on the goodwill that action bought her, but for how much longer?

6. Lucious Lyon (Empire)

Lucious lyon empire
To list Lucious' traits that make him the worst parent, husband, and friend is not possible without having to dedicate a whole page for that. He was supposed to be in the anti-hero mold -- which is a very fine line to walk. But along the line, he just turned into an utterly repulsive character whose chance at any form of redemption has long passed.

19 TV Marriage Proposals Where The 2nd (or 3rd) Time Was The Charm

$

First comes love, then comes marriage, or so goes the old rhyme. When people think they have met the one, it is only a matter of time until they pop the question.

Hopefully, after that, it is all smooth sailing. Sometimes, not so much. Sometimes the proposal is rejected, or the couple gets torn apart. For whatever reason, a wedding doesn't happen.

With the turmoil that writers often put couples through, it would be easy to give up. However, some refuse to.

Some say, "So what if we didn't end up getting married the first time around? So what if I got rejected, or I lost you? You're with me now, and I love you, so I'm going to propose to you again, and again, until I get a yes, and a wedding, and get to call you my wife/husband!"

It takes a lot to propose twice, but these paramours did it. Some of them proposed more than twice, and you might be surprised by who I'm talking about.

Here's a list of the those so determined to tie the knot that they proposed not once, but twice (and sometimes thrice).

1. Killain Proposes To Emma -- Once Upon A Time

Killain proposes to emma
On Once Upon A Time Season 6 Episode 13, Emma found a ring among Killian's things and forces a proposal, which would be all well and good if he weren't hiding the fact that he killed her grandfather. This leads to an engagement, the truth coming out, a fight, and Killian being whisked away by a villain. On Once Upon A Time Season 6 Episode 17, after overcoming those determined to keep them apart, Killian once again gets down on one knee and pledges to always be by Emma's side. She said yes the first time, and then fought like hell to get him back, so it's no surprise when Emma, once again, agrees to be Killian's wife mere episodes after the first proposal.

2. Barry Proposes To Iris -- The Flash

Barry proposes to iris
The Flash Season 3 Episode 14 ends with Barry Allen asking Iris West to marry him. Since we didn't actually see her say yes, fans had a feeling that this wasn't the "real proposal" WestAllen fans had been waiting for. Sure enough, when Iris learns that Barry only proposed as a way to change the timeline so she wouldn't die, she begins to have doubts. The two come apart briefly, but on The Flash Season 3 Episode 17 they come back together, and WestAllen fans get the magical proposal scene they were waiting for. What's better than Grant Gustin singing "Running Home To You" as he gets down on bended knee? Not much. This scene makes a relatively corny musical episode and two proposals in less than five episodes completely worth it.

3. Daniel Proposes To Emily -- Revenge

Daniel proposes to emily revenge
The first time Daniel Grayson proposed to Emily Thorne on Revenge Season 1 Episode 13, it was magical. It was aboard the yacht where they first met. He was wearing "the jacket." Daniel refused to be deterred by the rain, pouring his heart out to the woman who he thought was the love of his life, and she accepted. Then Daniel's true Grayson colors showed. Emily became disgusted with him and took the first excuse to end things when she thought her revenge was over, only renewing the relationship when it was necessary. His second attempt on Revenge Season 2 Episode 19 put Emily on the spot about their future on live television. Afterward, he issued an ultimatum: get engaged or break-up. Emily said yes for ulterior revenge motives, but what we have here is an example of a guy who should probably have only proposed once.

4. Robin Proposes To Marian -- BBC's Robin Hood

Robin proposes to marian bbc s robin hood
This one is a bit of a cheat because we never saw the first proposal. When the series begins, Robin is returning from The Crusades. Over the course of the season, we learn that he and Marian had been engaged before he left her to fight in the war, effectively ending the relationship. She is none too happy to see him upon his return, but throughout season one, the two reconnect and eventually reconcile. On BBC's Robin Hood Season 2 Episode 9, Marian's father gets killed. After the two have buried him, Marian asks Robin if he wants to say a few words, and the words he chooses are a proposal. It shows how far the two have come that Marian accepts, even if she takes her time about it. Really, these two deserved better than how they ended. I'm still not over it.

5. Lavon Proposes To Lemon -- Hart of Dixie

Lavon proposes to lemon hart of dixie
Lavon Hayes's proposal to Lemon Breeland on Hart of Dixie Season 4 Episode 9 was the perfect proposal. Taking your girlfriend to the most romantic spot on your property where lit candles are spelling out "Will You Marry Me?" What could be better? Except that the proposal was meant for someone else. Lemon and Lavon happening upon it when he was talking about their future together was a mere coincidence. Lavon was thrilled to be engaged to the girl of his dreams, even if it happened by accident. When he fessed up at their engagement party, Lemon was hurt and furious. So Lavon set up a romantic proposal to make it up to her, but their friends needed them. The ended up in a car together, which Lavon pulled over, proposing to Lemon on the side of the road. This time it was real, and Lemon was touched.

6. Max Proposes To Lorelai -- Gilmore Girls

Max proposes to lorelai gilmore girls
The first time Max proposes to Lorelai on Gilmore Girls Season 1 Episode 21, she does not take him seriously. They were fighting, and as Lorelai says, "a proposal has to be more than a desperate attempt to end a bickering match." She continues, saying, "It should be magical. There should be 1000 yellow daisies." She convinces Max that proposes then is crazy, and it seems like that will be the end of it. Later, Lorelai shows up to work to find 1000 yellow daisies for which the delivery man says she has to sign. Over the phone, Max tells her that she was right in saying his first proposal was not the done right, but she was wrong in saying he only did it because they were fighting. No matter what team you're on, you have to admit, Max knew how to propose. Sure, the first time went over really bad, but the second time he really got it right.

21 TV Characters Who Could Use A Therapist

Watching TV is quite an escape from reality, as most of us would say, but the truth is our television screens, and the portrayal of characters reflect our world vividly.

Whenever we watch our favorite shows, we see a life that is both different and the same as what we're going through daily.

Related: Get Starz via Prime Video Channels for captivating Original Series & Hit Movies!

Below, we have a list of characters who are just as troubled as us.

If your favorite didn't make the list, drop us a comment so we can talk about them, too, and spread the love.

1. Olivia Pope (Scandal)

Olivia pope captured scandal s4e10
Ah, the prodigal child of a killer and a terrorist. When you're living a life like you're Olivia Pope—being the president's mistress, solving crises and managing people, having a mind that needs to find a solution to a worldly problem—there has to be a point wherein you'll lose it. I mean, no wonder she drinks alcohol on a sleepless night because she needs a retreat from life. But alcohol isn't the solution, Liv! Well, not without us, maybe? And, don't go killing anybody ever again. Not even your enemies.

2. Betty Cooper (Riverdale)

Lili reinhart as betty cooper riverdale
Am I the only one who remembers Betty having an episode of a split personality disorder when she was avenging her sister Polly? It was very interesting how that panned out, and very sad as well. If not a split personality, Betty needs to see a therapist immediately to resolve whatever angst and hatred she holds in her heart. We love the sweet Betty too much to lose her.

3. Hope Mikaelson (The Originals; Legacies)

Danielle rose russell as hope mikaelson legacies
Honestly, I think all the Mikaelsons deserve to have a therapist, but Hope Andrea Marshall Mikaelson deserves it the most. First of all, she’s a tribrid—meaning, her anger management needs a lot more attention than the rest. Also, being a teenager and having to experience that much loss (practically an entire family dying on you and for you), takes a toll on you.

4. The Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars)

We need to come clean pretty little liars s7e11
Well, what can we say…? It has to be one of the easiest choices on the list. From its very first season, friends Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Allison DiLaurentis, and Emily Fields were the subject to the torment of an unknown bully who tried to unravel their dirty, little secrets to the public and destroy most of the personal relationships in their lives. A few twins reveal later, we find out that a secret society is actually behind everything, headed by none other than Spencer’s identical twin sister, Alex. I think, they need not only a psychiatrist for life but bodyguards as well.

5. Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother)

Barney and dad picture
Poor Barney Stinson. With a mother who does not care too much about her son's emotional well-being, it's no wonder he grew up to be the man he's become. And, because of having too many expectations about his unknown dad, he was a little too disappointed upon learning that his dad is actually someone who has been in his life for almost his entire life. Talk about being robbed of a chance of getting to know his dad organically. He literally fantasized every aspect of that issue before having to face reality. That would scar you.

6. Annalise Keating (How To Get Away With Murder)

Annalise defends how to get away with murder s4e11
Who wouldn't need a psychiatrist if you're Annalise Keating? Losing your baby in a car crash, which later turned out to be caused by one of your trusted employees/friends; having a cheating husband who would later be killed while trying to cover up the murder itself—Annalise needs a therapist.

As more and more women are being recognized around the world politically beyond just their beauty, we couldn't help but recall our list of 47 Sinfully Sexy Jewish Men on TV. It didn't seem fair to leave the men without their competition.

Since it’s about more than just brains and beauty, this list takes into consideration women of the Jewish faith who exude confidence, strength and own their power.

In celebration of the spotlight finally shining on amazing Jewish women, here are some of the most badass TV babes of the bunch.

49. Melissa Rauch

Melissa rauch
As Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on "The Big Bang Theory," fellow Jersey girl Melissa Rauch juggles being married to Howard (Simon Helberg) with her job as a microbiologist, all while handling first-time motherhood like a (lady) BOSS.

48. Zosia Mamet

Yosia mamet
Zosia appeared on "Mad Men," United States of Tara," and "Parenthood," before scoring a leading role on the HBO series, "Girls." As fast-talking Jewess, Shoshanna Shapiro, we never tired of hearing every word that quickly came flying out of her mouth!

47. Sara Gilbert

Sara gilbert
Sara might not be a conventional beauty, but her stock as a badass is through the roof. Not only is she twice nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her role as Darlene Conner on the sitcom "Roseanne," she also kills us as the adorably dorky Leslie Winkle on “The Big Bang Theory." And that's not all Sara's slain. She'also a co-host and the CREATOR of the daytime talk show, “The Talk.” Come on Y'all -- Gilbert's got GAME.

46. Lisa Edelstein

Lisa edelstein
Once Dr. Cuddy on the medical drama, “House," Edelstein recently helped independent ladies find their way as Abby McCarthy on "The Girlfriend's Guide To Divorce." Nowadays Lisa's back where she belongs in official doctor mode as Dr. Blaize on "The Good Doctor." and we think it's a very good move.

45. Jane Levy

Jane levy
Jane played Mandy Milkovich on Showtime's "Shameless" and in 2011, landed her first lead role on the sitcom "Suburgatory." Levy has since strayed from comedy to prove just how frighteningly talented she is on Hulu's psychological thriller, "Castle Rock."

44. Mayim Bialik

Mayim bialik
If you were alive in the 90s, you likely remember Mayim as the young star of "Blossom." Since then, Bialik's back on TV as Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory," coupled up with hubby Sheldon (Jim Parsons) as the female half of the smartest newlyweds on television. As the neuroscientist to his physicist, Mayim's supersmart character isn't exactly a stretch -- because Bialik's a neuroscientist in real life, she doesn't just play one on TV.

23 TV Episodes That Are All Fun And Games

What's in a game, or more importantly, what are TV writers trying to say when they come up with episodes about TV characters playing games? Are they hinting at themes, foreshadowing plot twists, or just having fun with tropes they normally can't touch with a ten-foot pole?

Games can also be a useful way to introduce characters, get them to reveal their deepest, darkest secrets, and have them interact with other characters that barely exchanged two words of dialogue with one another beforehand.

The type of game doesn't matter just as the format of the show doesn't matter.

TV episodes devoted to characters playing games can happen on any show. It's something to be thankful for because watching beloved characters do whatever it takes to beat a game has produced some very fine half hours and hours of television.

Happy National Pie Day!

Today is the perfect day to go out and find yourself your favorite slice of pie, but if you are a TV fan you know the struggle that comes with fictional TV diners.

We see the diners in these little towns grow over the years, and all that time we really just wonder what their pie situation is like.

And there is nothing like Pie Day to make us wish that our favorite fictional diners were real, if only for this one day. The only substitute for that actually coming true is to take a walk down memory lane instead.

Here is a slideshow of a select few TV diners that we think would serve the best slice of pie.

1. Riverdale - Pop's Chock'Lit Shoppe

Riverdale pops chocklit shoppe
The important part is to not get distracted by the milkshakes because the surprise factor of this diner might very well be that lovely slice of pie (and the core four enjoying it).

2. Roswell, New Mexico - Crashdown Cafe

Roswell new mexico crashdown cafe
The Crashdown Cafe is colorful and eccentric enough that you will want to stick around even with the possibility of being abducted. But seriously, checking out a place that looks so fun has to be on all of our bucket lists.

3. Twin Peaks - Double R Diner

17 Seemingly Romantic Gestures that Fell Flat

How do tv characters show their love for another character? Maybe it's with a slow dance, maybe it's with a crazy stunt, or maybe all that is needed is an anguished declaration of love. If done right, the hearts of the audience should be skipping a beat during these demonstrations of love.

Yet sometimes -- even if all the elements are in place -- television shows are not always successful in executing a swoon-worthy moment. Sometimes the expression

Related: Hallmark Movies Now via Prime Video Channels for Stories with Heart, Captivating Movies & More!

comes off as more selfish than romantic. It could also be because no matter grand the act, it will never convince us these individuals belong together.

Here are just a few examples of when tv characters and shows were absolutely clueless in how to go about pulling off a romantic gesture.

1. Felicity Interrupts Iris and Barry's Wedding Ceremony - Arrowverse

Felicity interrupts iris and barrys wedding arrowverse
Weddings belong to the bride and groom. Felicity interrupting the highly anticipated moment where Barry and Iris would take each other as husband and wife with her abrupt change of heart towards marriage was rude, selfish, and anti-climatic.

2. Dawson Sails for Love - Dawson's Creek

Dawson would kill someone to win joey back dawsons creek
Fighting for a relationship is one thing, but Dawson was way out of line when he nearly killed Pacey during a sailboat race he entered in a misguided attempt to win Joey back. Why she continued to agonize over not wanting to hurt Dawson's feelings after he pulled this stunt is a riddle for the ages.

3. Logan Gifts Rory a House - Gilmore Girls

Logan gifts rory a house gilmore girls
Logan's attempt to give Rory a house so she could write her novel was certainly well-intentioned. What was impossible to ignore -- especially when Logan described how no one would notice Rory living there and how there would be people to cook, clean, and look after her -- was that his gift made Rory a kept woman.

4. Leonard and Penny Elope - The Big Bang Theory

Leonard and pennys elopement the big bang theory
Finally -- after seasons of pining, several proposals, and a long engagement -- Leonard and Penny were tying the knot. Too bad Leonard's confession that he cheated killed any and all joy for the occasion.

5. Phoebe Chooses to Reign in the Underworld with Cole - Charmed

Phoebe and coles unholy matrimony charmed
Succumbing to the dark side to be with the one you love should be a heartwrenching but riveting struggle between what is right and who you love. Instead, Phoebe was annoyingly wishy-washy and then let the demonic baby she was pregnant with take over her brain. An epic conflict for the human heart this was not.

6. Julian Teaches Devon How to Dance - The Resident

Julian teaches devon how to dance the resident
Teaching someone to dance can be a very sweet expression of love, but there wasn't any of that present when Julian started giving Devon lessons because it was obvious she was looking to seduce an engaged man.
